Lady Bulldogs sit atop the North Division at 4-0

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs moved to 4-0 in the North Division with a 71-65 overtime win over the Mississippi Delta Community College Lady Trojans here Thursday night.

The Lady Bulldogs held a 14-point lead at halftime, 39-25, and seemed to be cruising to an easy win over the Lady Trojans. Mississippi Delta then took charge in the second half and outscored the Lady Bulldogs 34-20 to tie the game at 59 at the end of regulation. Holmes then outscored Delta 12-6 to pick up the win.

Kierra Gilmore led the Lady Bulldogs with 21 points while Amber Clay had 20, Louise Collins had 12 and Dierra Gilmore had 10. Jessica Miles had 11 rebounds while Collins and Dierra Gilmore had 10 each. Kierra Gilmore had four three-pointers, most from the men's three-point line.

The Lady Bulldogs travel to Northwest on Monday night at 5 p.m. and return home to play Hinds Community College on Thursday night at 6 p.m.
