Lady Bulldogs lose two heartbreakers to Northeast Lady Tigers, 1-0 and 2-0

BOONEVILLE --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs fell to 4-2 in the North Division after suffering two heartbreaking losses to the Northeast Mississippi Community College Lady Tigers here Tuesday, 1-0 in eight innings and 2-0.

In game one, Kelsey Marter pitched the entire eight innings and gave up three hits striking out four. Frankie Maxwell led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits while Kaitlyn Doles, Kayla Blakely and Victoria Hunt each had one hit.

In game two, Marter pitched six innings giving up two runs in the first inning on four hits and had two strikeouts. Kelsey Shaw, Blakely, Lauren Tharp and Hunt each had one hit.

The Lady Bulldogs are set to host LSU-Eunice on Saturday in a doubleheader at noon.
