Lady Bulldogs go to 4-0 in the North Division
GOODMAN -- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs moved to 4-0 in the North Division here Saturday with 15-0 and 18-5 wins over Coahoma Community College. The Lady Bulldogs defeated East Mississippi on Thursday, March 1, 5-3 in eight innings and 5-1.
In game one Saturday, Kelsey Marter picked up the win pitching three innings giving up one hit and striking out three. Frankie Maxwell led the Lady Bulldog with two hits while Kelsy Shaw, Kaitlyn Hicks, Darlynda Wilson and Alexus Moore each had one hit. Kayla Blakely and Hicks each had two RBI while Maxwell, Shaw, Kaitlyn Doles, Faith McCorkle, Alecia McDaniel and Wilson each had one.
In game two, Ginny Mills picked up the win pitching three innings giving up nine hits, five runs and striking out three. Allson Roy pitched one inning giving up no hits. Hicks and Wilson each had two hits while Maxwell and Shaw each had one hit. Lauren Tharp led with three RBI while Maxwell and Wilson had two while Shaw, Hicks, Victoria Hunt and L'Shanna Evans each had one.
In game one versus East Mississippi, Marter pitched eight innings giving up five hits, one walk and striking out seven. McCorkle had two hits while DOles, Blakely, Raay, Hunt and Evans each had one. Hunt had two RBI while Doles, Blakely and McCorkle each had one.
In game two versus East Mississippi, Marter picked up the win pitching seven innings giving up nine hits and striking out one. Doles led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits while Blakely, Wilson and Hunt each had one. Doles and Blakely had two RBI.
