Former Bulldog Browning named to the Midwest League Eastern Division All-Star Team
LANSING, Mich. –Former Holmes Community College Bulldog Wil Browing and three of his Lansing Lugnuts teammates in the Toronto Blue Jays organization were named last week to the 2013 Midwest League Eastern Division All-Star team.
The Sallis native and pitcher along with second baseman Christian Lopes, third baseman Gustavo Pierre and center fielder Dalton Pompey will play in the game on June 18 in Dayton.
The All-Stars were determined in a vote by the Field Managers of the Midwest League, selected off a ballot of nominees compiled by the managers. The Bowling Green Hot Rods were the only ballclub with more than one player in the Eastern Division starting lineup, placing three starters and a league-high nine total players in the game.
At this point, Browning is 2-3 overall with a 2.37 ERA. He's appeared in 21 games and has four saves. He has 47 strikeouts and 12 walks in 30 1/3 innings.
