WESSON --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs battled back from a double figure deficit just before halftime to only trail by five points at halftime here Thursday night against Copiah-Lincoln Community College, but the Lady Wolves outscored the Lady Bulldogs 45-34 in the second half to pull out the 78-62 win in the non-division contest.
The Lady Bulldogs went to 1-2 on the season and host East Central Community College in Goodman on Monday night at 6 p.m. Holmes then hosts Meridian Community College on Thursday in Goodman at 6 p.m. Both games can be watched live at holmesathletics.ihigh.com.
Carmesha Nalls led the Lady Bulldogs with 20 points and Vonkesha Miller had 16 points. Tayanna Purnell led the Lady Bulldogs with 12 rebounds including eight defensive rebounds.
