Lady Bulldogs lose two to Itawamba; Lady Indians take season series 4-0

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs had their chances here against a good Itawamba Community College Lady Indian team but fell twice, 3-1, and 6-4.

With the losses, the Lady Bulldogs fell to 11-23 overall and 7-7 in the North Division. The Lady Bulldogs travel to Northeast Mississippi Community College on Tuesday in a doubleheader at 2 p.m.

Kelsey Marter suffered the loss in game one. Marter pitched seven innings and gave up three runs on five hits striking out two and walking one. Samantha Meadows led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits with a double while Karina Brown, Michelle Gregory, Lauren Tharp and Alecia McDaniel each had one hit.

Katie Johnston suffered the loss in game two. Johnston gave up five runs on nine hits. Keana Wash led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits with one hit being a double. Gregory, McDaniel, Kaitlyn Hicks, Charneissa Gordon and Victoria Hunt each had one hit with Gregory, McDaniel and Hicks having a double.
