RIDGELAND --- Bulldog freshman James Cockrell scored two goals in the last two minutes of the match to lift the Bulldogs to a big 3-2 North Division win over the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers here Friday afternoon.
With the win, the Bulldogs went to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the North Division. The Bulldogs play Meridian tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Meridian.
Northwest got on the scoreboard first in the match on an unassisted goal from Gnande Zleh in the 56th minute. Zleh added another goal just a minute later to put Northwest up 2-0.
John Torres got the Bulldogs on the scoreboard in the 63rd minute on an assist from James Oliver. Cockrell then hit his two goals to give the Bulldogs the win.
