Bulldogs fall to Lions, 71-63; go to 2-4 in the North Division

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs didn't start the second half of North Division play off the way they wanted here Thursday by falling to the East Mississippi Lions, 71-63, despite a valiant comeback late in the game.

With the loss, the Bulldogs fell to 10-7 overall and 2-4 in the North Division. Holmes travels to Mississippi Delta on Monday night.

East Mississippi led 34-25 at halftime but then the Bulldogs outscored the Lions, 38-37 in the second half but it wasn't enough. Tamarico Wilson led the Bulldogs with 18 points while Rodriques Palmer had 11. Palmer led with seven rebounds.
