Cheer tryouts are set for April 11 on the Goodman Campus

Tryout date is set for April 11 and will be begin at 3 p.m. with registration and check in at the Frank Branch Coliseum on the Goodman Campus.  

Students that are interested in trying out should complete an application to Holmes Community College, have sent all high school and college transcripts, and bring a current physical. 

Candidates are asked to wear White shirt and Black shorts and athletic shoes.

Female Candidates will perform a chant, fight song, and toe touch.  Male and Female will coed stunt during tryouts.  Recommended stunts included but are not limited to toss hands, extension, cradle, shoulder stand, female – full down, lib. 

Tumbling is not required, but highly recommended.

Open gym is being offered to those interested in trying out for the squad. The dates are March 4, March 17, March 24, March 31 and April 7. Open gym is an opportunity to practice with other athletes and will start at 3 p.m. and end at 5 p.m.
