Swilley, Myles named Holmes CC's Players of the Week

GOODMAN --- Holmes Community College sophomore pitcher Mollie Swilley on the softball team and freshman infielder Xavier Myles on the baseball team have been named Holmes Community College Players of the Week following their play last week.

Swilley, a Northwest Rankin product from Brandon, went 2-0 on the mound for the Lady Bulldogs including a no-hitter on Saturday vs. Jackson State CC. She pitched 14 innings and gave up six hits with four strikeouts and four walks. Holmes split with Baton Rouge and Jackson State CC.

Myles, a Brandon product from Brandon, went 13-of-21 including two homeruns and three doubles with 13 RBI. Holmes picked up two wins over Millsaps JV and three wins over Kaskaskia on Friday and Saturday.
