Shelly, Wallace named Holmes' Players of the Week

GOODMAN --- Holmes Community College freshman guard/forward Kiara Shelly on the women's basketball team and sophomore forward Cameron Wallace on the men's basketball team have been named Holmes Community College Players of the Week following their play last week.

Shelly, a North Pontotoc product from Saltillo, had 27 points in two games and pulledin 13 rebounds. Holmes fell to East Mississippi in OT, 69-63, and defeated Southern-Shreveport, 86-82, in overtime last week.

Wallace, a Parkview product from Little Rock, Ark., played in two of three games last week and had 39 points and had 15 rebounds. Holmes picked up three wins last week to go to 11-1 on the year.
