Lady Bulldogs pick up their first win of the season

SENATOBIA --- The Holmes Community College women's tennis team improved to 1-10 overall with a 5-4 win here on Friday versus Northwest Mississippi Community College.

The Lady Bulldogs won three singles matches and two doubles matches. In singles, Rebecca Shields, Elizabeth Petro and Callie Swinney each won and Shields-Petro and Akia Cabell-Haley Harrison won in doubles. Harrison and Cabell lost in singles, and the Lady Bulldogs fell by default in the other doubles match. 

In a match on Friday, the Lady Bulldogs fell to the Northeast Lady Tigers, 6-3. The Lady Bulldogs won two singles matches and one doubles match. In singles, Shields  and Petro won while Shields-Petro won in doubles. Harrison, Cabell and Swinney lost in singles while Cabell-Harrison fell in doubles, and the Lady Bulldogs fell by default in the other doubles match.
