Marter pitches perfect game as Lady Bulldogs take two from Coahoma Lady Tigers

CLARKSDALE --- Holmes Community College freshman pitcher Kelsey Marter pitched a perfect game here in game two as the Lady Bulldogs rolled over the Coahoma Community College Lady Tigers, 19-0. The Lady Bulldogs also won game one 18-2 to go 9-5 in the North Division.

In game two, Marter faced nine batters striking out three of them and not allowing a single runner on base. Victoria Hunt led the Lady Bulldogs with three hits while L'Shanna Evans had two hits. Alecia McDaniel, Kaitlyn Doles, Kayla Blakely, Faith McCorkle and Darlynda Wilson each had a hit. McDaniel and Evans each led Holmes with three RBI while Hunt and Doles had two.

In game one, Marter also picked up the win. She threw three innings giving up two hits, two runs and striking out two. Marter and McCorkle each had two hits while Frankie Maxwell, Hunt, Doles and Evans each had one.
