Pearl River takes two from Lady Bulldogs, 1-0 and 8-0

POPLARVILLE --- The Pearl River Community College Lady Wildcats took two games from the Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs here Friday, 1-0 and 8-0.

With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs went to 1-7 on the season. The Lady Bulldogs travel to Jones on Tuesday at 3 and 5 p.m.

In game one, the Lady Wildcats scored a run in the fourth to take the win. Kelsey Shaw got the only Lady Bulldog hit in the game. Kelsey Marter took the loss. She pitched six innings and gave up five hits and one run striking out four.

In game two, Kaitlyn Doles, Alexus Moore and Kaitlyn Hicks each got a hit. Alecia McDaniel took the loss in four innings of work. She gave up nine hits, four runs and walked one. Allison Ray pitched 2/3 innings giving up three hits and four runs walking one.
