Bulldogs get 2-1 win over the Wildcats

The Holmes Community College Bulldogs went to 6-2-1 on the season with a 2-1 non-division win over the Pearl River Wildcats in Ridgeland Friday afternoon.

Christian Eslava got the Bulldogs on the scoreboard with a goal in the 18th minute an on assist from Travis Offield. Bryan Diaz added a goal on an Eslava assist in the 39th minute.

In a match against Southwest on Sept. 27, the Bulldogs scored seven goals winning 7-0. Diaz scored two goals (sixth and 47th), Drew Pegues two goals (55th and 83rd) and Eslava, Willie Goliday, and Ulysses Vazquez each had a goal while Cameron Lomonaco had an assist.

In a match versus East Central on Sept. 23, the Bulldogs fell 2-1. Drew Pegues scored in the 32nd minute on an assist from Wesley Noble.
