Scott, Lewis sign with four-year schools

Holmes Community College sophomores DeAndre Scott of Yazoo City and Demarcus Lewis of Canton signed with four-year schools today as Scott inked with Southern Arkansas University of the Great American Conference in Magnolia, Ark. and William Carey University from the Southern States Athletic Conference located in Hattiesburg.

Scott, a 6'1 guard, averaged 15.6 points per game for the Bulldogs during this past season leading the Bulldogs in scoring. He shot 40 percent from the three-point line and had three rebounds per game. Scott heads to the Mulerider program, which finished this season 10-17 overall and 6-14 in the conference. Scott finished Second Team All-State and participated in the MACJC All-Star game.

Lewis, a 6'4 forward, averaged 14.9 points per game and led the Bulldogs in rebounding with over six rebounds per game. Lewis heads to a successful Crusader program, which finished 25-6 overall and 16-2 in the conference.  Lewis was named to the All-Region team.
