Live Oaks Golf Club in Jackson served as host of the Second Annual Josh West Invitational Tournament this past Friday and for the second straight year the team of the tournament's namesake came out on top.
West, who serves as Voice of the Bulldogs, teamed up with Holmes Offensive Coordinator Tim Stowers and Offensive Assistant Matt Wannebo and shot seven under par for nine holes.
Holmes Head Coach Jeff Koonz teamed up with Defensive Coordinator Chris Shelling, former Bulldog player Tim Bell and art instructor Jay Cheatham and shot three under par. Offensive Assistant Ray Gross, Defensive Assistant Lane Powell, volunteer coach and former Bulldog Cob Summers and Associate Athletic Director for External Relations Steve Diffey shot five under par.
The tournament, under the direction of Coach Stowers, was a scramble format with some unique rules designed by Coach Stowers.
The County Seat in Flora hosted the teams after the completion of the tournament.
