Prep clinics and tryouts set for 2012-13 Squad
Prep clinics for the 2012-13 Holmes Community College Cheerleading Squad are set for Feb. 15, March 29 and April 10 with the actual tryout set for April 20 in Frank Branch Coliseum on the Goodman Campus.
Prep Clinics will be held Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, Thursday, March 29, 2012 and Tuesday, April 10, 2012, from 3:30pm – 5:30pm on the Goodman Campus of Holmes Community College. There is no cost. There will be females and males to stunt, work on technique, and ask questions. Prep clinics are a good opportunity to meet the coach, tour campus, talk to former cheerleaders as well as work on the material required for tryouts.
All potential student athletes should be accepted to Holmes Community College, physically fit, and have completed the application for tryouts. Females will participate in the following: chant, fight song, toe touch and coed stunts while the males will participate in coed stunts and shoulder stands. Tumbling is not required, but highly encouraged for both males and females.
The tryout is set for Friday, April 20, 201, in Frank Branch Coliseum. Material will be taught at 2:30 p.m. and the tryout will begin at 3:30 p.m. Participants should wear a white tank or shirt and black shorts. Please be sure that you have printed a copy of the application for tryouts and documentation of a physical from a medical physician.
